After creating some fun buttony glittery birthday cards (click link). Little Missy decided she hadn’t had her fill of glittery fun for the day.
I found an old canvas and pasted some PVA glue on it and let Little Missy sprinkle lots and lots of glitter over it.
With some help from Granny she continued her masterpiece with buttons, buttons and more glitter. All stuck on with PVA glue. It was lovely to see Little Missy exercising her freedom and creativity, knowing exactly which button she wanted next and exactly how much glitter she wanted.
I love giving my little munchkins a canvas to work on, it feels much more permanent than a flimsy bit of paper and often the end result is a lot more pleasing too.
Little Missy’s art work is now up on the wall in our living room, she is very proud!
Here are a couple more examples of Little Missy’s glittery art work.
What art materials do you/your children love working with?
What lovely artwork – the buttons and string really bring the pictures to life – gorgeous! Happy Easter to you all x

I’m trying to think what other extras would look great in a piece of artwork. Happy Easter 🙂

Lovely! The one with the string looks like it could be hanging in an art gallery somewhere.

I have some canvas that I was going to use in the kitchen, but we never got round to it. And the roll of canvas just stares at me, making me feel guilty.
No more guilt, I am going to cut it up into miniatures for Louloo to see what she can create.
Thanks for the brilliant blog

That’s a lovely idea to put his artwork in a frame. Most of our paper stuff ends up in a draw!

The use of canvas is a great idea. We have a toddler who looks at a similar age to yours and he would love this. He sometimes makes mincemeat out of card and paper so I think we’ll order some and use them to decorate his room rather than the fridge in future. Thanks for sharing.

It looks brilliant, the blue one looks very ocean’y’. My two love glitter as well and would happily cover an entire piece of paper in glitter. I love the idea of letting little ones paint on canvas, a great idea! My only question is what do you do with all the canvases? Thanks so much for linking up to #HowtoSunday 🙂 x

You can only fit so many canvases on a wall! Maybe repaint over the not so good ones when no one is watching and re-use!?
