I absolutely love this recipe for flapjack. I don’t even know where it came from, I think my mum got it from somewhere. So I’ve been making these flapjacks for about 4 years and my little munchkins still love them and consider them a real biscuit! The best thing is they are absolutely healthy, they have NO sugar and lots of yummy banana. So I have no need to feel bad if I give in to requests for more biscuits.
I have to be honest, they don’t satisfy my craving for a biscuit! I find that a chocolate coated malted milk (or 5) hits the spot! As long as my little munchkins are loving these banana flapjacks, we will keep on making them!
Here’s what you need…
50g Raisins (or currents, or sultanas, whatever takes your fancy)
60g Plain Flour
1/2 tsp baking flour
First things first. Mashing the bananas…good fun for budding bakers….
I then melted the butter on the stove and added it to the mashed banana along with the egg. Zori gave it a good mix.
Munashe weighed the oats and added them to the mix, followed by the flour and baking powder.
Zori weighed out some sultanas and gave it a final mix. I put grease proof paper on a baking tray and using two teaspoons I created the biscuit shape. They then went in the oven for about 20 minutes at 180c. Yum Yum!
I’m loving Munashe and Zori’s biscuit faces! Do you have any yummy biscuit recipes your little ones love to make? Please comment below 🙂
